Choosing equipment
What is the difference between an oxygen cylinder and a concentrator?
A cylinder stores oxygen and needs refilling. A concentrator makes oxygen from room air using electricity, so it does not need refilling. Your doctor can advise which suits the patient.
What is the difference between CPAP and BiPAP?
CPAP gives one steady air pressure. BiPAP gives a higher pressure when breathing in and a lower one when breathing out. Follow your doctor on which the patient needs.
